We've listed the most frequently asked questions about London City Airport, if you've got an answer that would help people you can add it under the question.
Is London City Airport different from Heathrow?
Paul James
Yes, London City Airport is in the City of London and is much nearer to the centre of the city. You'll find it easier to get into and around London from London City Airport but airfares tend to be higher and there are far less routes. It's a good option if you're city hopping from Europe but for most long haul flights you'll be flying into either Gatwick Airport or Heathrow.
Heathrow is further outside of London to the west and will take you about an hour to an hour and a half to get into Central London. Heathrow does have good transport links however and is useful if you are staying anywhere on the Piccadilly Line.
London City Airport uses the Dockland Light Railway or DLR to connect the airport to London Underground. It's quick, easy and you can use your contactless credit or debit card to pay for your fare.
