If you can collect your boarding pass for your connecting flight before arriving at Frankfurt terminal 1 then that will be better as it's quite a large area to walk through to connect to other gates and sometimes you might have to clear passport control too. It's a very busy airport. There are nit screener as soon as you disembark from the plane and arrive at the terminal to check a gate and so just walk in either direction for the lettered gates until one can be seen!
