When preparing to navigate Gate Experience at Terminal 1 in Lisbon Airport, it's important to consider the limited seating available near the gate, as many travellers have noted a shortage of chairs, leading to a crowded atmosphere where some passengers are left standing or sitting on the floor. Queueing can be chaotic, often blocking access to nearby shops, so plan accordingly. While there are plenty of dining and shopping options in the terminal, be mindful of the cold indoor temperatures, especially if coming off a chilly flight. Overall, a traveller rating of 6 out of 5 reflects the need for improvements in comfort and organization at this terminal.

Crowdsourced tips for Gate Experience at Lisbon Airport - Terminal 1
There weren’t enough seats at our gate. We were lucky to get seats but a lot of people were having to stand or sit on the floor. Queueing was also a bit chaotic, it wasn’t very well organised and so the queue blocked access to the shops.
Very few seats by the gate, and quite narrow and little space at many of the gates (can vary).
Strangely really cold inside the terminal. Just come off a cold plane and the terminal is really chilly. It’s 7am and still dark outside but you’d think they’d have the temperature at a comfortable level.
Plenty of toilets and places to eat and shop near to the gates.
