The security process at Terminal 2 requires careful preparation, especially considering current traveler feedback highlighting some challenges. Reviewers have noted the focus on ensuring that personal items, such as belts, are scanned separately to minimize disruptions, which could add time to your experience. It is advisable to be proactive and remove belts and other metal accessories prior to reaching the scanner to help streamline the process. Familiarizing yourself with this approach can make your transition through security smoother, as instructions may not always be clearly communicated. Expect potential delays and be patient with the procedures in place.

Crowdsourced tips for Security at Lisbon Airport - Terminal 2
1) Why does security insist that the scanner makes no sound if they can check people? Example: belts. They sent two people back to send their belts through the x-Ray separately to avoid getting a signal from the body scanner.
2) There is no instruction to take off belts. If there were, people would do it from the start.
3) Either instruction or train security staff that a beep from a belt is not a disaster if clearly identified.
