"Beyond security there are lots of places to eat at Terminal 2 Manchester but it can also be very busy. You can try heading further than the first set of bars and restaurants to find less crowded places.

"Escape Lounge at Terminal 2 had a sign outside saying it was full and to join the online queue. I'm not sure if this was just to prevent more people from queuing but it does seem that this lounge is often full. We joined the online queue but cancelled it as we got into the Aspire Lounge.

It's a pretty small lounge but to be fair had bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, bread and some cereal. Pretty basic but did the job and wasn't too crowded like some other lounge."

"Ok, so Manchester airport terminal 2 has been refurbished and now has the large scanners for security. The space is wide and airy too with plenty of space. We breezed through very quickly and was a pleasant experience. Staff could do to be a bit more friendly though but this often seems to be the case with airport security."

"We took an Uber on arrival from Terminal 2. It's always a bit of a pain with Uber and Bolt etc at airports as they have to pick you up in difficult locations. Manchester also has this issue, I don't know why they don't invest in having a dedicated Uber/lift sharing area that is simple and easy to get to (and sign posted).

At the moment you have to find the right multi-story car park to wait in. Having spoken to drivers they often find that passengers get confused and end up in the wrong car park.

It isn't that difficult if you follow the instructions on the Uber app, but for those that have just landed and never been to the airport before, finding Multi-story West car park instead of East is a bit tricky."

"As usual, my passport doesn't work with the electronic gates. This happens as all UK airports for me though. I had to stand in the normal passport control queue which was pretty quick and they were nice and friendly too."
