Deplaning at Montréal–Trudeau Airport can sometimes be a prolonged process, particularly during peak travel times or when flight schedules experience delays. Be prepared for potential waiting periods, as gates may be occupied by arriving aircraft, and there can be limitations on the available jet bridges for larger planes. It is advisable to factor in extra time after your flight lands, especially if your arrival coincides with other busy flights. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the terminal in case you need to navigate to customs or baggage claim after deplaning.

Crowdsourced tips for Deplaning at Montréal–Trudeau Airport - Terminal
I didn't have the best experience. My flight was late and our gate was occupied by another plane. We had to wait for that plane to depart. Then, the plane was too big for the bridge, so we had to wait for the airport to find a solution. In total, we spend over an hour on the plane after landing, before deplaning.
