I imagine than in summer, when there are a lot of flights, the queues are even longer. The flights to US have their own different security."

"The non EU gates are all in a very small space. This morning there were two flights boarding from two gates one next to another, and nobody knew if they are boarding the Gatwick flight or the Edinburgh ones. It was a bit chaotic. "

"Most of the low cost flights won't park directly at the terminal, so deplaning is made by buses. Once in the terminal, there are electronic gates for both EU and non EU citizens (different lanes though). "

"There are two direct bus from Venice Piazzale Roma to Venice Marco Polo. The fast bus is run by Atvo and costs 10 euros each way or 18 euros return. You can buy tickets from the kiosks at the airport, the tourist offices in Venice, or directly from the driver. It takes 20 minutes to and from the airport. You have to stamp the ticket at the yellow machine before boarding the bus. The other bus is number 5, which is a local bus stopping in difference places, that takes much longer. I've always taken the Atvo bus so I don't know how long number 5 takes, but I know is much cheaper."
